The fourth annual Grape Stomp, an Uptown merchants’ wine tasting, begins at 5:30 p.m. this Friday, Oct. 19.
The Greenwood Chamber of Commerce began the annual event to increase awareness of what Uptown vendors have to offer. The idea is for patrons to sip, shop and socialize. Each store will serve a different wine and a complementary appetizer. Wine stops this year include The Arts Council at the Federal Building where The Mill House will be stationed with beer samples and Montague’s with wine; Ayers, Smithdeal & Bettis, PC; Blossom’s Shoes & Such; Daisy Uniforms; David Lindsey Clothier; Howard’s on Main; Polo’s Restaurant; Sugar Boutique; Thayer’s; The Floral Case; T.W. Boons; and Uptown Pizzazz.
The event is set to last for three hours, concluding around 8:30 p.m. Tickets are available at the Chamber of Commerce and participating merchants. The cost is $25 per person, and attendees must be 21 years of age of older. Identification is required at registration.
